The world day of theatre (World Theatre Day) is set in 1961 of IX by congress of the International institute of theatre (International Theatre Institute, ITI) and annually on March, 27 marked Centers of ITI and international theatrical societies.
Activity of organization, according to her charter, sent to "strengthening of the world and friendship between people, on expansion of creative collaboration of all theatrical figures of the world". The first international message in honour the World day of theatre was written with in 1962 the French writer and artist by Jean Кокто.As known, a word "theatre" went from the Anciently-Greek word of theatron (θέατρον), that means a "place, where look".
